Brisbane Shopping

The downtown Brisbane shopping precinct is home to over 2000 specialty shops and retailers. There are historic arcades with 19th century facades and the open air markets at South Bank take full advantage of Brisbane's balmy climate and beautiful South Bank parklands precinct.

Queen Street Mall

At the heart of the Brisbane shopping experience is the Queen Street Mall in the CBD. Located between Edward and George Streets the mall offers exciting and yet relaxing shopping where you don't need to dodge traffic as you browse through the 500 plus stores on offer. At one end of the mall, directly below the Hilton Hotel, is the Wintergarden Shopping Complex where you can discover designer fashion, footwear and accessory labels from Australian and International designers, and the finest jewellers, homewares and gift stores.

At the top of the mall is Brisbanes largest shopping centre, The Myer Centre. Immerse yourself in retail bliss and explore over five levels of shopping heaven. The Myer Centre has an extensive array of eateries in the International Food Court including King of Kings Yum Cha as well as supermarkets and cinemas. Opening hours are Mon-Thu 9-5.30 and Fri 9-9, Sat 9-5 Sun 10-5.

Saturday 9am to 5pm and Sunday 9am to 4pm. Friday night is late night shopping when most stores are open until 9pm.Shopping hours in the CBD are usually 9am to 5.30pm Monday through Thursday.

South Bank Markets

The South Bank Art & Craft Markets are a great spot for picking up all sorts of goodies from local crafts and fresh produce to clothing and unique artworks and it also has a range of cafes and eateries onsite. One of the wonderful aspects of these markets are the live buskers and paid performers who roam the aisles and provide entertainment while you browse.

The markets are held every Friday, Saturday and Sunday - Friday: 5pm - 10pm, Saturday: 11am - 5pm & Sunday: 9am - 5pm.
